Exam stress-busting advices

Here are my advices. I follow most of them and it works!

  • Don’t panic.
Hard, but it works. I don’t know why, but if I panic I tend to forget things.
  • Stay positive.
Hard, but why not be positive? Got everything better to do?
  • Don’t wait for too much information to accumulate.
As I said, revise with a couple of months before and read every new thing daily.
  • Focus on your exams.
Not the football game that will happen after your exam or anything like that.
  • Plan: study plans, timetables, etc.
It helps you know exactly when’s your exams and how much you have left until that day.
  • Relax.
It’s very important to have a day or two off, without studying. You need time to relax too.
  • Ask for help.
Easy. If you don’t understand, ask someone to help you and explain to you what to do.
  • Use revision papers.
Past papers do the trick!
  • Study away from distractions.
No phones, internet and those kind of things. Just during breaks.
  • Don’t study with a couple of hours before your exam.

I usually don’t study with half day before the exam because I freak out and forget everything, but that’s just me.

  • Have breaks.

For each 40-45 mins have 10-15 mins break.

  • Drink a lot of water and eat well.

Might sound weird, but it’s true. When you study you need a lot of energy and food gives you that. Plus water will keep you hydrated.

Good luck!
